Making it easier for first-time DSLR users to get started, the new Sony cameras come in camera-and-lens packages.
In addition to the two new standard zoom and telephoto lenses that are offered with the camera bodies, the company introduced new portrait and macro lenses. These purpose-built lenses make it much easier to obtain professional-looking, creative results.

SAL-50F14 50mm f/1.4 Lens
Dpreview tested the Sony 50mm F1.4 review on APS-C and Full Frame DSLR namely the Sony Alpha 700 and Sony Alpha 900. Some extract from the review:
It gives excellent image quality when stopped down, but struggles somewhat when used wide open, showing common problems such as corner softness, halation, bokeh chromatic aberration, and vignetting on full frame.
Sony 50mm F1.4 clearly does have characteristics which make it a superior performer on the APS-C format. It shows unusually high central sharpness, making it rather more suited to shooting at large apertures than most of its peers. I

The leaked 70-400mm f/4-5.6 user manual we sposted is now sweeten with the official announcement of the lens. Sony today announced two lenses in conjunction with their first full frame dslr the alpha a900. The Vario Sonnar T* 16-35mm f/2.8 ZA Carl Zeiss Series Lens is a super wide angle lens while the 70-400mm f/4-5.6 G Series Lens is a super telephoto lens.
