Sony decided to have a Mark II series for their semi transparent series (SLT) camera. The A99II features the following:
- 42.4-megapixel 35mm full-frame Exmor R® CMOS sensor
- High-speed continuous shooting of up to 12fps with AF/AE tracking
- Fast and effective enhanced 79 Hybrid Cross AF points
- 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization for still/movie support
