Nikon D3x VS Sony A900 ISO50-ISO6400 Review
Still wondering if the Sony Alpha 900 is more superior in comparison with NIkon D3x or the other way round? Move on to Nikon D3x vs Sony Alpha 900 ISO50-ISO6400 100% Cropped Comparison to have a quick comparison between the two.
I have to admit that the Nikon D3x is better than the Sony A900 in terms of image quality, but the difference does not convince me to pay out the US$7999 permiun for one. I will probably get a Sony Alpha 900 with almost similar 24.5 Megapixel resolution full frame camera as the NIkon D3x for the price of less than US$3000.

…but of course, if one just looks at “image-quality” not even correcting for true ISO.
It’s a simple thing, and on that basis alone there is no way that a 24MP Nikon fullframe is worth 4x as much as a 24MP Sony fullframe.
Either you need the Nikon and need to spend the extra $6k or you can get away with the Sony and save $6k. And that’s assuming that you need a 24MP fullframe in the first place.
One of the easiest hardware-choices ever :)
